Applications are invited from suitably qualified medical/dental practitioners for the above position (s) in the Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District. The position will be primarily located at Blue Mountains ANZAC Memorial Hospital within the Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology. Possess or be eligible for specialist registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) OR be eligible for the international medical graduate specialist accreditation pathway through RANZCOG. The appointees must demonstrate broad-based generalist experience in both Obstetrics and Gynaecology, including intrapartum care, antenatal clinics, Gynaecology theatre and acute presentations. Appointees may be eligible for credentialing and privileging across all other facilities in the Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District. Possess Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetrics & Gynaecology (FRANZCOG) or equivalent as provided for in the Health Insurance Act 1997 and the relevant award ( (NSW) Award. Evidence of Continuing Medical Education and selfmonitoring/audit practices consistent with the scope of practice requirements of the position Sound clinical knowledge and experience across the generalist scope of Obstetrics & Gynaecology, including intrapartum care and acute Gynaecology, demonstrated through successful clinical practice in an environment appropriate to the requirements of the position, with a high level of experience and competency in independently managing labour ward and gynaecological emergencies. High level interpersonal and communication skills and demonstrated ability working within a multidisciplinary team. Demonstrated commitment to teaching and junior medical staff supervision consistent with contemporary best practice supervision standards. Demonstrates the skills and attitudes appropriate for practice as a Senior Medical /Dental Practitioner including modelling of a high standard of professional behaviour to junior medical staff. Familiarity with research concepts and commitment to support basic, applied, or clinical research as required within the Department. Conditions of Appointment Conditions of appointment are in accordance with the Health Services Act 1997, and Public Hospitals (Visiting Medical Officers Sessional Contracts) Determination 2014.
