A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join our group of licensed entertainment venues as the Venue Manager.ResponsibilitiesResponsible for the day-to-day operational functions of the venue.Oversee the smooth operation of gaming and wagering areas and ensure they operate within regulatory guidelines.Ability to analyse P&L and monthly reports and recommend actions to improve business performance.Ensure customer service standards remain at the highest level through leading by example.Assist with the implementation of the MVRC Venues Strategic Plan to achieve: targeted revenue growth each year; improvements in market position of the venue in response to market trends and local competition; innovations for the development of future revenue streams for the Club within the Gaming sector; improvements in the Clubs image and profile on an ongoing basis.Identifying recruitment and training needs for staff, with recommendations made to People & Culture team.Ensure effective rostering of the workforce to ensure labour and other on costs are in line with budget expectations.Attend to all managerial requirements of the performance management system for permanent staff including setting plans, conducting monthly 1 on 1s and end-year reviews.Manage performance issues in a confidential and timely manner, in line with MVRCs guidelines.Responsible for the implementations and management of the Clubs OH&S Policy, for the safety and health of staff reporting to or supervised by this position and their compliance with the OH&S procedures.QualificationsTo be considered for this position the MVRC is looking for someone with extensive venue management experience within a Gaming and Hospitality environment.
