You will support the negotiation of fair, enduring Treaty settlements, develop policy advice that informs decisionmaking at the highest levels, prepare briefings for the Minister, Cabinet and Select Committees, represent Te Tari Whakatau in external hui and interagency engagements, and tackle the less glamorous tasks with a positive attitude. Responsibilities Participate in negotiations that lead to durable Treaty settlements. Develop policy advice that informs decisionmaking at the highest levels. Prepare briefings for the Minister, Cabinet, and Select Committees. Represent Te Tari Whakatau in external hui and interagency engagements. Roll up your sleeves and tackle less glamorous tasks with a positive attitude. Qualifications Highly motivated, proactive and driven to take ownership of your work. Strong interpersonal skills: relate well to iwi, hap, government officials and crossmotu colleagues. Excellent written and verbal communication, confident in both writing and hui. Eager to learn how government works. Hold a relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience sufficient for stepping into this space.
