Manager - Water Operations & Maintenance Location: Shoalhaven Water Operations Depot, Flinders Road South, Nowra, New South Wales Employment: Permanent, FullTime, 35 hours per week (Monday to Friday) with optional flexitime. About the Role Join the Shoalhaven Water team as Manager of Water Operations & Maintenance. Lead the delivery of essential water and wastewater services to the community, overseeing maintenance, operations and minor construction across facilities. Main responsibilities include: Leading daytoday operations of the Water Operations & Maintenance department across the region. Providing strategic and financial oversight, including budget development, expenditure control and reporting in line with council planning. Liaising with other division managers and participating in the management team to ensure effective business operations. Ensuring compliance with WHS, environmental and legislative standards. Driving innovation, continuous improvement and strategic planning. Representing the council in public forums and contributing to longterm financial planning. Managing significant outofhours response for emergencies (floods, fires, storms). Qualifications & Experience Degree in Engineering or equivalent, or extensive relevant experience. Extensive experience managing water and sewer operations and maintenance functions. Demonstrated leadership supporting people and teams across organisational boundaries. Class C drivers licence. Proof of Australian residency or citizenship, or workright to Australia. Other Requirements Availability for oncall and reasonable overtime. National Criminal History Check (paid by Council). Ability to influence strategic outcomes through decisionmaking, financial stewardship and operational excellence.
