Product Manager, Skills Information Systems and Stewardship Salary: $138,631 - $185,518 (Plus Superannuation) Ongoing position Usual hours of work: Full time (flexibility may be available) Usual work location: Ballarat GovHub (300-304 Mair Street, Ballarat VIC 3350) The Role As a Product Manager, Skills Information Systems and Stewardship, you play a key leadership role in shaping the future of Skills and TAFEs data analysis, reporting and business intelligence (BI) systems. You will guide the product roadmap and lead a highperforming team to deliver innovative, usercentred solutions and appropriate data stewardship to support strategic decisionmaking across the Skills and TAFE system. Your leadership as part of the VET Systems Management and Reform team will drive continuous improvement through collaboration, innovation, and evidencebased insights. By fostering strong stakeholder relationships and empowering your team, you will help ensure our products are reliable, secure, relevant, and aligned with organisational goals, ultimately supporting better outcomes for Victoria''s learners and training providers. Key accountabilities include: Participates in strategic planning and contributes to strategic decisionmaking process. Prepares technical reports at an authoritative level. Explains highly complex concepts, ideas and issues to an executive (i.e. nonexpert) audience. Focuses on understanding stakeholder issues and influencing their views. High level expertise in the field or discipline. Subject matter expert that conceptualises, initiates, implements, promotes and evaluates complex and innovative technical programmes. The Team The position of Product Manager, Skills Information Systems and Stewardship will work within Training Operations and Assurance branch, which sits within Skills and TAFE group. Skills and TAFE (S&T) focuses on enabling Victorians to access the knowledge, skills and attributes they need to participate in today''s workforce, prepare for future jobs, and achieve their educational aspirations. Working in close partnership with the Victorian Skills Authority (VSA), S&T provides leadership and stewardship of a responsive, highquality vocational education and training (VET) system. This includes oversight of the Victorian TAFE Network, led by the Office of TAFE Coordination and Delivery (OTCD), and the apprenticeships system, with a strong focus on aligning training with industry needs and strengthening pathways into the workforce. S&T supports lifelong learning and inclusive education through Adult, Community and Further Education (ACFE) and the Learn Local network, helping adult learners progress into further study or work. S&T collaborates across government, industry, education providers and communities to deliver skillsfocused solutions that improve workforce outcomes and enable businesses to access a skilled workforce.
