Workways Australia Ltd is a notforprofit charitable organisation that operates across the eastern seaboard of Australia, providing environmental and employment services. In addition to delivering on governmentfunded contracts such as Workforce Australia and Transition to Work, Workways creates environmental impacts through bush regeneration and habitat restoration under the Envite brand. In preparation for annual director movements, Workways is seeking a NonExecutive Director with expertise and connections within the environmental services industry. Responsibilities Provide strategic direction and oversight as a member of the Board of Directors. Attend six board meetings annually, primarily conducted online, with at least two facetoface meetings in Queensland or Victoria each year. Participate in a subcommittee that meets online four times per year, and attend any additional meetings as required by organisational priorities. Commit an average of 10 hours per month to board and committee duties. Qualifications & Requirements Strong understanding of corporate governance, including legal, ethical, fiduciary, and financial responsibilities. Evidence of a passion for making a difference in the communities served by Workways. Completion of a National Police History Check, a Financial Check, a Working with Children/Vulnerable People Check, and evidence of Right to Work in Australia. Applicable qualifications in environmental services or related fields (if required). Commitment Average commitment of 10 hours per month, including six board meetings annually, potential subcommittee attendance, and periodic travel for facetoface meetings.
