Provide strategic leadership and direction to the procurement and contract management team. Develop and implement innovative procurement strategies and frameworks. Manage high-value contracts and ensure compliance with government procurement frameworks. Offer authoritative advice on complex, high-risk, or sensitive procurement matters. Foster strong partnerships with stakeholders, including internal teams, suppliers, legal, and probity advisers. Represent and promote the procurement function as a trusted centre of excellence. Contribute to the broader strategic and governance priorities of the Taskforce. Experience and Skills Required Proven experience leading large-scale or complex procurement''swithin government or similar high-regulation environments. In-depth understanding of procurement legislation, frameworks, and the Commonwealth Procurement Rules. Strong leadership and team management experience, with a focus on performance and delivery. Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced and high-profile environment. Advanced stakeholder management, communication, and negotiation skills. Experience overseeing contract performance, supplier governance, and risk management. A strategic mindset with a proactive, solutions-focused approach to problem-solving. Previous experience in event-related, infrastructure, or cross-agency programs (highly desirable).
