About the hotel The Grand Hotel in Healesville is currently recruiting an enthusiastic and passionate Chef to join our team. Working in the beautiful Yarra Valley, our hotel was established in 1888. We pride ourselves on quality food, beverage, and customer service and are looking for an outstanding Chef who has extensive experience in a country pub environment. Position This is a Fulltime position with rotating weekend days off and rotating roster of 7 days including lunch, dinner, and breakfast on weekends. The role reports to the Head Chef. Key Responsibilities Assist in the planning and execution of creative, highquality dishes Work in all areas of the kitchen Supervise kitchen staff and ensure smooth operation during service Food preparation, cooking, and presentation Contribute to menu development and seasonal specials Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards Requirements Flexible hours available Great sense of humour Passionate about food, with drive, enthusiasm and attention to detail Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to motivate and develop staff; fun on the job Ability to work under pressureSuccessfully completed Cert IV in Commercial Cookery We Offer We are a local / familyrun hotel and understand the importance of worklife balance.
