As a Seasonal Lifeguard you will work at the Queenstown and/or Zeehan Swimming Pools during the 20252026 swimming pool season. Your key responsibilities will be to supervise pool patrons and ensure safe pool use at all times, completing tasks essential to the effective daily operation of the facility. Working with limited supervision, the Senior Lifeguard will play a key role in maintaining the facility to a high standard. Important: weekend and public holiday shifts are required as part of this position. There may also be occasions where Seasonal Lifeguards are required to work at both the Zeehan and Queenstown Swimming Pools. Please advise in your application your preferred swimming pool location, and if you would have capacity to work at both pools if required. Awards Classification Band 1 (plus Industry Allowance) Location Zeehan or Queenstown Swimming Pool Reports to Senior Lifeguard or Pool Manager Essential Selection Criteria Current Pool Lifeguard Certificate, and current First Aid Certificate and CPR qualification (or willing to obtain) Ability to communicate effectively with staff, contractors, and the public. Knowledge of Work Health and Safety practices appropriate for the role. Willingness to obtain a National Police Clearance Check. Willingness to obtain a Working with Vulnerable People card. Willingness to undertake a preemployment medical and audiometric assessment prior to commencement. Willingness to actively contribute to creating and maintaining a safe workplace in accordance with Councils OH&S, Risk and Privacy policies as well as all related legislation and Acts. #J-18808-Ljbffr
