The Role Karratha SHS is seeking Home Economics Assistants that are energetic and well organised team players with great communication skills to join our team. If you have worked in a hospitality kitchen or as a food prep assistant, your skills would be beneficial. Suitable applicants will ideally be able to work independently and assist the teacher by planning, preparing and cutting up food before classes are held. Applicants should be highly competent and organised with time management and able to prioritise tasks. You will be responsible for placing food orders online and ordering stock. Computer skills will be highly regarded. We have a senior school commercial kitchen and two food preparation rooms. This role involves cleaning and maintaining of equipment, fixtures and fittings, ovens and laundry duties. The role also involves assisting and preparation with textile classes. A knowledge of sewing machines and overlockers would be beneficial but not essential. Want to know more?
