About Us: At Family Centered Support Services, we provide a range of services to children, young people, and families, including respite care, inhome support, and residential outofhome care. We believe children belong with their families whenever it is safe and possible, and we work closely with the Department of Child Safety and the families to address the root causes of challenging behaviours and support positive change. About the Role: As a Team Member, you''ll play a vital role in supporting Children and Young People living in Residential OutofHome Care at our therapeutic, rural properties, where we focus on a technologyreduced model of care. Your main responsibilities will include engaging with and supporting Children and Young People who exhibit challenging behaviours, helping them achieve their social, educational, cultural, and emotional goals. You''ll also oversee their daily care. Our mission is to equip Children and Young People with new coping strategies and prosocial behaviours to help them transition to a forever home. Daily tasks may include: Providing handson support in teaching life skills to our Young People, such as cooking, cleaning, budgeting, completing homework, personal care, booking and attending appointments, participating in sports, and engaging in schooling Developing support documentation, including Positive Behaviour Support Plans and progress reports Assessing and supporting the developmental progress of our Young People Liaising with and reporting to stakeholders to share information, contribute to planning, and ensure desired outcomes are achieved Creating activity plans and facilitating community engagement for the Young Person Safely supporting behaviours using Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) techniques Competitive salary range of $70,000 - $100,000 per annum + superannuation (based on fulltime potential) Comprehensive induction and Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) training 24/7 dedicated oncall support Access to notforprofit salary packaging to lower your taxable income Be part of a rapidly growing learning organisation Aboveaward remuneration, including penalties and allowances Work vehicle and meals provided during shifts Opportunities for career advancement Ongoing training, development, and support Access to Employee Assistance Program counseling services QLeave portable long service leave contributions Current Australian Driver''s Licence (must be Open or P2) Completed a minimum Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention or equivalent Availability for shift work (24hour model), including weekdays, weekends, and sleepovers as scheduled Approved Licensed Care Service (LSC) check through the department, or ability to obtain one Current Paid Blue Card or willingness to obtain one Current First Aid and CPR certificates, or willingness to obtain them Flexibility to meet the organisation''s needs Ability to prioritise tasks and work under pressure to meet specific timeframes and targets Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including documentation, organisation, and reporting Proficient computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office Suite Provide two recent professional references *We''re currently seeking qualified applicants who have completed qualifications in Youth Work, Community Services, or a related field.
