Must have yard HC truck licence & experience About the opportunity Were looking for a Yard Truck Driver / Freight Handler to join our diverse and hard-working team. With e-commerce booming, our freight handlers are the folks making sure consignments are correctly loaded so we can get deliveries out to our customers, fast. This role is combined with Yard Truck Driver duties, completing approximately 50 moves within the depot. Roster / Pay Monday to Friday 5:30am 1:30pm (7.5 work hours per day) Upgraded to $36.14ph as Yard Truck Driver ($33.14ph Freight work) + 12% Superannuation + Leave entitlements Responsibilities Predominantly doing Yard Truck operations: Opening rear doors, cracking seals, inspecting freight Determining where freight needs to go skill developed on the job Placing items where they need to go or carting to a different area Ensuring set-up sheets are followed Answering two-way calls for movements across the depot Freight Handling as required: Handloading parcels and cartons from conveyor belts into trucks for drivers to head out. Unloading trucks when drivers return to the warehouse. Wrapping freight by hand or using a shrink wrapper, scanning parcels electronically and updating documentation. Qualifications Held HC truck licence. Fit and able to lift at least 30kg repeatedly assessed at pre-employment medical check. Laser focused, even when the role gets repetitive.
