The Preventive Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing scheduled maintenance and inspections on production and facility equipment to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and safety. This role proactively identifies and resolves potential equipment issues before they lead to downtime or quality concerns. Key Responsibilities Perform preventive maintenance (PM) on production and facility equipment according to established schedules. Inspect machinery and components for wear, damage, or misalignment; document findings and corrective actions. Replace or repair worn parts and make necessary adjustments to maintain peak equipment performance. Accurately record maintenance activities and PM tasks in the CMMS system. Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to plan and complete PM work with minimal disruption to operations. Assist in developing, improving, and updating preventive maintenance procedures and checklists. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times. Comply with all company safety policies and procedures. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; technical certificate or associate degree. 5+ years of experience in industrial maintenance or a related field. Strong mechanical aptitude with a basic understanding of electrical and pneumatic systems. Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and maintenance manuals. Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic instruments. Excellent attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills. Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends, to support scheduled maintenance activities.
