Job Description Job Description: Scheduling drivers'' jobs & workloads according to customers'' transport needs Roles available in both our local and interstate teams Ensure drivers and subcontractors are scheduled to loads on a timely basis and within the guidelines of the Wickham Freight Lines Fatigue Management System Ensure drivers receive information and paperwork related to loads/pickups and as well as monitoring freight movements and report any irregularities to the Operations Manager Liaisewith logistics manager and other staff to ensure all freight requirements of customers are met Allocation of drivers and data entry into our TruckMate system Ability to work fulltime that consists of 45 hours per week Local Operation will be Monday to Friday (including Saturdays) with hours from 6am to 4pm Interstate Operations will be Sunday 7am to 5pm and Monday to Thursday 8am to 6pm Desired Skills and Experience Skills and Experience: An understanding of the logistics supply/retail chain is beneficial Willingness to learn and become efficient and confident in scheduling drivers and loads Experience using TruckMate will be highly regarded Passion for Trucks, Transport and Customer Service Excellent communication skills to be able to converse with both customers and drivers Intermediate computer skills and attention to detail Great written and verbal communication skills Strongteam player showing visible commitment to the team and the greater strategic goals Transport experience or a Bachelor/Diploma of Logistics is desirable If you are ready for a challenge and a fast paced but rewarding role, we look forward to receiving your application.
