This role is pivotal in shaping a positive team culture that reflects Star Aviations values. The Airport Manager sets the tone for operational performance, team engagement, and customer experience, ensuring all activities are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard while achieving key safety, operational, and financial objectives. Your work will include:Service DeliveryParticipate in, manage, and oversee Star Aviations daytoday ground handling across customer services, bag room, ramp and cabin cleaning operationsLead and manage operational staff to ensure appropriate oversight of daily operations through provision of general and direct guidance to the teamEffective planning and management of staff resources to ensure schedule delivery, cost and service levels are metInvestigate delays and service failures and work with the relevant internal and external teams to resolveEnsure all ground handling services are performed to the highest standard and in accordance with the contract summary, with any additional service items raised to the Regional Airport Manager to invoice separatelyAssist with the calculation of budgets and cost modelsDevelop and maintain relationships with key airport personnel, liaising with airport operators to ensure airport facilities meet Star Aviations requirementsManagement of equipment and vehiclesResponsible for the provision of equipment and vehicles that are used for operational purposes at the airportEnsure the safe and secure operation of all equipmentReview and follow up on reports of any equipment malfunctionPeople ManagementLead and manage the team operationally to ensure compliance with contractual obligations, safety obligations and cost efficiencyPromote and drive a safety culture across the teamManage performance issues across all levels, ensuring staff are competent in their rolesTrainingIn collaboration with the Senior Manager Operational Excellence and Training, identify any training requirements to improve service deliverySchedule appropriate training sessions for training delivery and verificationPrepare for, conduct, and document both training delivery and assessments, using the approved airline training program to address companys training needsWere looking for someone who is highly competent and has previous experience in the operational requirements of ground handling across above and below wing operations and can develop and implement business improvements and change management strategies. To succeed, you''ll need to be a strong people leader, able to manage, motivate and lead teams, have excellent timemanagement skills, work in a fastpaced environment and be customer focused in your service.Mandatory RequirementThe role requires the ability to obtain and maintain an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC).
