Population Health Division is responsible for addressing primary and secondary disease prevention within the local community through Health Promotion, HIV and Related Programs Multicultural Health. Our work is delivered through individual service delivery. Population health promotes programs and initiates capacity building to members of priority populations on priority issues. Role Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to join our team in improving the health and wellbeing of children in their early years (birth to five years, also known as the ''First 2000 Days'') and school aged children across the Nepean Blue Mountains region. This dynamic role involves building strong partnerships with local Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC) services, supporting educators to meet key performance indicators aligned with the NSW Healthy Children Initiative (HCI), particularly through the Munch & Move Program and The First 2000 Days Framework. You will also work closely with schools to assist teachers in delivering HCI programs such as Live Life Well at School and contribute to the development of new health initiatives in high schools. In addition, the role includes collaboration with other local stakeholders to support the health promotion team in achieving HCI goals, especially through programs like Go4Fun and other initiatives that enhance the wellbeing of children and their families. A key aspect of this position is the development, implementation, and evaluation of health promotion strategies that make a lasting impact. Proven experience working in the NSW Healthy Children''s Initiative, including Munch and Move, Live Life Well and/or Go4Fun or similar programs targeting healthy eating and physical activity to reduce childhood obesity in the early years and school years settings. High level project management skills including demonstrated ability to plan, implement, evaluate and disseminate a population health project and report on project outcomes. Sound organisational and computer skills, and the capacity to successfully manage several tasks concurrently to meet tight deadlines. Excellent written and verbal communication, negotiation, and facilitation skills. Demonstrated capacity to work effectively in a cross cultural context, and the ability to work with and engage young people and their families and other stakeholders. Demonstrated ability to work autonomously with minimal direction and as part of a team. Current NSW Drivers licence.
