Clinical Nurse Day Surgery/DOSA (Part-Time) Our Day Surgery Unit provides care for all surgical patients within the facility, creating a professional, positive, and comfortable environment for both staff and patients. We are seeking an experienced and confident Clinical Nurse to join our busy Day Surgery/DOSA unit. This is an excellent parttime opportunity (up to 64 hrs per fortnight) to advance your career with Ramsay Health Care. About The Role As a Clinical Nurse, you will hold a key leadership role within the unit, guiding and supporting nursing staff while ensuring the delivery of safe, evidencebased, and patientcentred care. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, contribute to service improvement initiatives, and act as a clinical resource to support the ongoing growth and performance of the ward. You will also assist the Nurse Unit Manager in running the Day Surgery/DOSA unit and help develop the leadership group within the team. What You Will Be Doing Provide expert clinical care to patients within the Day Surgery/DOSA unit. Mentor, support, and supervise junior nursing staff and students. Actively lead and participate in quality improvement initiatives aligned with strategic goals. Ensure compliance with best practices in infection control, patient safety, and clinical governance. Liaise and collaborate effectively with Visiting Medical Officers and allied health professionals. Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to operational planning and scheduling. Act as a role model, promoting a culture of excellence, empathy, and accountability. Skills And Experience Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse. Minimum 5 years experience in a perioperative or surgical ward setting. Strong clinical decisionmaking, mentoring, and leadership abilities. Experience coordinating clinical teams and managing workflow. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Knowledge of accreditation standards, clinical indicators, and quality improvement practices. Competent with Microsoft Office and electronic medical records systems. Desirable Previous experience in a Clinical Nurse or equivalent leadership role. Certificate or postgraduate qualification in acute care or clinical leadership. Completion of a Preceptorship Program.
