These trains will be built at a new, purpose-built facility in Torbanlea on the Fraser Coast.This is your chance to be part of an industry leading, world class project. You''ll work with cutting-edge technology in state-of-the-art facilities, alongside a passionate and skilled team.The role at a glanceIn this role, you will play a vital part in the electrical assembly, testing, and commissioning of next-generation railcars.Key Responsibilities:Perform wire cutting, labelling, crimping, and termination to precise specificationsInstall electrical looms and components in accordance with engineering drawings and work instructionsConduct electrical testing, measurement, and fault finding to ensure system integrity and performanceSupport statutory and preventative maintenance activities across production systemsRespond to facility asset breakdowns and assist during equipment failures to minimise downtimeWork collaboratively with cross-functional teams to meet production and quality targetsAbout youCertificate III in Electrotechnology ElectricianKnowledge of electrical rollingstock systems, manufacturing processes, and specialised equipment, from production to electrical testing and commissioning (desired)Sound knowledge of Queensland electrical regulations and relevant Australian electrical standards, with the ability to apply them in both manufacturing and maintenance environmentsThe ability to dismantle, repair, replace, assemble, and fit engineering componentsSkilled in precision electrical and electronic measurementExperience in terminating and connecting electrical wiring, including electrical crimpingThe capability to fault-find and repair electrical equipment and components operating up to 1000V AC / 1500V DCPlease note: There are gate start roles.Next StepsTo apply for this great opportunity please click the APPLY NOW button.
