Job Description

The Supply Chain Analyst ensures the efficient, compliant, and costeffective flow of imported goods from Brazilian suppliers to the companys warehouses and distribution points. The role focuses on analysis, evaluation, and process improvement to optimise inventory management, supplier performance, logistics, and customer satisfaction through wholesale and retail channels. It also contributes to strategic decisionmaking and continuous improvement initiatives within the business. Task & responsibilities Analyse end-to-end supply chain processes, including procurement, import logistics, warehousing, and distribution, to identify inefficiencies and improvement opportunities. Monitor supplier performance, shipment lead times, freight costs, and inventory KPIs; provide data-driven recommendations to management. Develop forecasts for product demand based on sales trends, seasonal events, and promotions to optimise inventory and avoid stockouts or overstock. Evaluate current systems, capabilities, and workflows, and prepare proposals to improve operational efficiency, inventory accuracy, and service levels. Assist in implementing approved process improvements, including new workflows, inventory procedures, and system updates. Track shipments, manage route activity, electronic invoicing, Bills of Lading, and communicate potential delays to relevant teams. Advise management on recommendations to optimise resources, improve customer satisfaction, and reduce operational risks. Provide coaching and mentoring to warehouse, logistics, and procurement teams to build supply chain capabilities and support adoption of new processes. Maintain a reliable, end-to-end supply chain to ensure key product lines are consistently available for wholesale and retail demand. Improve supply chain efficiency and reduce operational costs through analysis, supplier negotiation, and workflow optimisation. Identify, evaluate, and mitigate risks related to international imports, logistics delays, spoilage, or supplier performance. Ensure compliance with all relevant Australian regulations, including AQIS, FSANZ, and product labelling requirements. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance inventory management, logistics, and supply chain workflows. Provide accurate supply chain reporting, dashboards, and recommendations to support strategic decision-making. Support team development through coaching, mentoring, and knowledge transfer. Contribute to organisational innovation by recommending new methods, systems, or structures to optimise resource use and customer satisfaction. Qualification & experience Bachelors degree in a relevant field. At least five years of relevant full-time experience may substitute for the formal qualification. Minimum 1 year of relevant full-time experience in supply chain, logistics, or inventory/operations analysis. Experience analysing supply chain processes, preparing reports, and providing recommendations. Exposure to import operations, supplier coordination, and inventory management. Understanding of Australian import regulations, food safety standards (FSANZ), quarantine (AQIS), and labelling requirements. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify gaps and recommend solutions. Proficiency in ERP / Inventory Management Systems (IMS) and Microsoft Office, especially Excel. Ability to interpret and analyse supply chain data, KPIs, and trends. Knowledge of international freight, customs documentation, and global sourcing. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to liaise with internal teams, suppliers, and freight providers.
