This region is well known for producing premium food and firstgrade dairy products. About Our Role The role will take the lead to ensure compliance with policies, standards, licences and legal requirements. There is a key focus on wastewater management by managing the daytoday results and actions to ensure compliance. Lead the development and delivery of an environmental management and monitoring program across the site. Engage with site managers, expert technical professionals, government regulatory authorities and monitoring service providers to ensure site environmental monitoring objectives are met. Ensure the treatment plant is operated according to licence conditions. Ensure daily operations are conducted in accordance with standards and procedures. Work with internal and external stakeholders to operate the treatment plant in accordance with EPA requirements. Identify and improve system issues and procedural changes. Ensure compliance with all relevant contractual, regulatory and legislative requirements as a minimum standard. Ensure all waste meets company specifications and is in line with environmental guidelines and expectations of the regulators and Lactalis. Demonstrate and ensure compliance with standards for EHS performance and behaviour consistent with the companys environmental, health and safety vision and policies and standards. What You Can Bring To The Role Degree in Environmental Science, Health and Safety, or equivalent relevant qualification. Trusted expert advisor in the technical field of environmental monitoring. Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and prioritise effectively within a fastpaced work environment. Proven highperformer, with excellent communication and organisational skills and capable of building effective working relationships. Demonstrated experience in: Health and Safety Experience of Water or Wastewater Treatment Implementation and continuous improvement of EMS (ISO 14001) Sound knowledge and application of risk management techniques and relevant state environmental legislation Australian Food Industry (highly desirable) HAZOP, GMP experience (desirable) Current drivers licence.
