Salary commencing from $126,159 + 12% Superannuation35-hour week with flex-time system and hybrid working arrangements About the opportunity: Are you a dynamic finance professional ready to make a genuine impact in your community? We are looking for a Management Accounting Team Leader to guide a talented and committed team in delivering high quality business reporting and financial insight that shapes the future of our organisation. You will be responsible for leading the preparation of Councils Annual Budget and long term Financial Plan and driving continuous improvement in financial systems and reporting. You will collaborate across departments, strengthening financial acumen and building trusted partnerships that make a lasting difference. To succeed in this position, you will meet the following criteria: Degree qualifications in Accounting or deemed equivalent Demonstrated extensive experience in leading a team of professionals to coordinate budgeting processes across a multidisciplinary workforce, including the application of accounting principles and the continuous improvement of financial information systems. Demonstrated exceptional communication skills including the ability to effectively communicate the organisations financial drivers to others in plain language. Demonstrated experience in developing team capability and collaboration with other supervisory staff in order to achieve outcomes. Effective time management and forward planning skills, plus the ability to prioritise and organise workloads in an environment of change and conflicting demand. Demonstrated experience in complex problem solving requiring analysis of information and data in order to develop efficient and effective processes and procedures. Significant financial acumen including the provision of specialist financial advice to inform decisions, promotion of the role of sound financial management and its impact on long term financial sustainability. Provision of timely, accurate and professional customer service to internal and external customers.
