Full training will be provided to the successful applicant.The key responsibilities for this position include:Comply with relevant OHS/WHS legislation including:Take reasonable care for their own health and safety and that of persons who may be affected by their actions (or omissions).Co-operate with any reasonable instruction, policy and procedure.Not intentionally (or recklessly) interfere with, or misuse anything provided at the workplace in the interests of health, safety or welfare; andIdentify and report all hazards, near misses, injuries, illnesses and incidents.Behaves in a manner that demonstrates care for others and Ridley product and property.Key Focus TaskLead and assist in all production, safety and quality internal and external audits.Manage and implement production, safety and quality policies and procedures.Ensure safety and quality regulatory compliance and continuous improvement.Investigation and corrective actions on all safety and quality failures.Coordinate internal and external training needs of production team members relating to quality.Provide support to the leadership team.Preferred hands on milling experience or desire to learn.QualityAttends and participates in all relevant training and personal development.Actively participates in planned site meetings.Compliance with relevant HACCP requirements, ensuring activities comply with the program and assisting to manage the maintenance of HACCP accreditation.Understanding and awareness of Feedsafe, ensuring activities comply with the program and assisting to manage the maintenance of Feedsafe accreditation.Participate in site Continuous improvement program.ProductionEnsure all aspects of the manufacturing process are planned and executed within the acceptable tolerances and to site targets.Accurate inventory reconciliation and reporting to site managementStaff and workplace issues reported to Site Manager when they occur focusing on continual improvement.Any other responsibilities and/or authorities as specifically designated by Shift Supervisor, Site Manager or Delegate.Identify and report non-conformances as per Ridley process.Test and unload incoming raw materials and productsTest and load outgoing finished productsCheck off and verify incoming products and materialsLearn, be trained on all key production requirements to support the Shift SupervisorThe key requirements of this role include:Sound knowledge of OH&S and Environmental Policies and Legislation.Have good communication skillsPhysically fit to undertake manual and repetitive tasksBe able to work in a team environment to meet all targetsBe reliable and motivatedSound computing skills.
