Overview The Winemaker & Production Manager is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing and managing the Sparkling wine production process within Peterson House (PH). Peterson House produces Sparkling wine for in-house sales and for contract clients. This role involves coordinating production for both Peterson House and contract clients. The role encompasses client liaison and management, oversight and optimization of the winemaking process, quality control including tasting client and Peterson House product, management of bottling and packaging, supervision and control of production reporting including invoicing and managing a team of production staff. Recruitment Profile Qualifications: Winemaking or Fermentation Science Tertiary qualifications highly regarded. Winemaking, Fermentation industry, production management experience 5 + Years. Drivers Licence required, Forklift licence advantageous. Proficient in use of suite of MS Office software and communication tools. Experience: Production management experience including Stock Control, Production Planning, Packaging operations and quality control. Familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software (currently EZY Systems) Practical & theoretical understanding of winemaking, production and bottling & packaging equipment. Team Management. Personal attributes: Flexible and responsive in decision making and problem solving. Ability to work without direction at high level. Self motivated and professional. Able to easily switch focus from day to day operations to mid to long term planning and strategic focus. High level of numeracy and literacy Able to relate to and with wide variety of people at different levels, business owners and executives to casual employees.
