Project Manager - Professional Services Location: Flexible (Home-based or Esri UK offices in Aylesbury, Cambridge, Edinburgh). Type: Permanent or Contractor. What Youll Do As a Project Manager, you will lead multidisciplinary teams to deliver software projects across the full lifecycle - from discovery and design, through to build and deployment. Your responsibilities will include: Managing a portfolio of software configuration and development projects, within one of our four specialist domains: Government, Utilities, Defence and Transport/AEC. Building strong customer relationships, understanding their business goals, and helping them realise value from Esri technology. Tailoring delivery approaches (Agile, Waterfall, hybrid) to suit project needs and ensure quality, budget and timelines are met. Managing resources across projects, ensuring effective planning, allocation and optimisation to support successful delivery. Collaborating with solution architects and consultants, fostering high-performing teams and a positive work culture. Contributing to business development, supporting proposals, estimates and strategic account planning. Providing strategic oversight and coordination across multiple projects at the programme level, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and customer outcomes. What Were Looking For You will thrive in this role if you: Have proven project management experience in IT or software delivery (essential). Have experience with one or more delivery models (such as Agile, Waterfall and SAFe) and the relevant certification(s). Are familiar with cloud platforms, SaaS, COTS, system integration, the software development life cycle and digital transformation projects. Have excellent stakeholder engagement, communication and leadership skills. Possess strong risk management skills and sound financial acumen to guide successful project outcomes. Can evaluate a customers business goals and strategic objectives, translating them into compelling proposals supported by detailed delivery plans. Enjoy solving problems, multitasking and driving continuous improvement. Demonstrate curiosity, a collaborative spirit and a proactive mindset. Due to the nature of our work and the sensitivity of the data and clients we support, successful candidates may be required to undergo government security clearance, which could include higher-level vetting. As part of this process, candidates must have the legal right to work in the UK and may need to have lived in the UK continuously for the past five years.
