About the role The Transfer Station Attendant will support customers at our Beechworth waste transfer station, ensuring safety, service quality, efficiency, accurate waste processing, and maximising recycling and resource recovery. Permanent Part-time position - 24 hours per week: the hours are spread across 4 days: Friday - Saturday - Sunday - Monday. $40.30 - $41.55 per hour - includes a special engagement allowance and an industry allowance The key responsibilities are: Oversee site operations, safety, cleanliness, and punctual service delivery. Guide customers in correct waste disposal and recycling practices. Accurately process fees, vouchers, and records using the point-of-sale system. Coordinate waste bin compaction, clearances, and monitor special recyclables. Maintain signage, access areas, and provide continuous service improvements.
