About the Role Reporting to the Asset Management Director, this role will be a key role ensuring the safe integration of systems and processes across a complex, high-profile transport project. Working closely with internal teams, consortium partners, and external stakeholders, youll play a pivotal part in embedding safety assurance throughout delivery and into operations. Responsibilities Manage system safety activities through the delivery and operational readiness phases. Draft and maintain the Operational Safety Case, ensuring updates are managed and distributed through to completion. Develop and implement safety assurance processes in line with the Safety Management System. Prepare and maintain progressive safety assurance cases and safety arguments using Goal Structured Notation (GSN). Participate in risk analysis and assessment, recommending and monitoring effective control measures. Review and provide input into systems assurance submissions from contractors and consortium partners. Ensure system safety requirements are embedded in design processes and verified through formal review. Liaise with the client, Independent Safety Assessor, and regulators to report on progress and maintain alignment with safety standards and expectations. Qualifications At least 5 years experience managing system safety or safety assurance on major projects. Strong understanding of complex systems engineering and system safety frameworks. Proficiency in Goal Structured Notation (GSN) and developing safety arguments. Sound knowledge of Rail Safety National Law, WHS, and environmental legislation. Working knowledge of EN50126 (RAMS) principles. Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Science, or a related discipline. Project Overview As a contractor to the Australian Federal and NSW governments, Parklife Metro is leading a transformative metro project connecting St Marys to Bradfield, linking with the new Western Sydney Airport. The Parklife Metro (PLM) consortium, made up of Plenary, RATP Dev, Siemens, and Webuild, is delivering the Stations, Systems, Trains and Operations & Maintenance (SSTOM) package of works for the Sydney Metro-Western Sydney Airport (SM-WSA) project. RDWSA will proudly operate and maintain six new stations, twelve metro trains, core rail systems, and a state-of-the-art stabling and maintenance facility at Orchard Hills on the Western Sydney Airport metro line for 15 years after the line has become operational. #J-18808-Ljbffr
