These days Taylor Family Produce grows a variety of leafy green vegetables which are supplied to major grocery stores and fruit and vegetable markets along the eastern seaboard of Australia. Thanks to the contrasting climates of our family farms, we are able to grow our quality produce all year round. We are currently seeking an experienced Mechanic to join our workshop team. The workshop operates yearround to support farming operations at The Granite Belt near Stanthorpe, Liston on the NSW-Qld Border, and at Kalbar on the Scenic Rim. Job Title Farm Mechanic Job Type Full Time, permanent. Location The Maintenance Workshop is located at Amiens near Stanthorpe on the Granite Belt in Queensland Australia. Supervisor / Manager Workshop Supervisor Main Duties / Responsibilities Self-Starter, able to work unsupervised. Able to carry out service and general repairs of a range of Agricultural Machinery. Light and Heavy vehicles. Complete QA Paperwork. Maintain a clean and safe workspace, and abide by workplace health and safety policies and procedures. Other tasks as directed. The workshop runs year-round to support farming operations at the Granite Belt near Stanthorpe, Liston on the NSW-Qld Border, and at Kalbar on the Scenic Rim. Salary and benefits shown in ad is indicative and will be negotiated based on experience. Qualifications Trade Qualification as Mechanic. Heavy Vehicle license an advantage but not essential. Experience Would suit 3rd year apprentice - remuneration based on experience and as negotiated. Skills Ability to problem solve and prioritise in a fast-paced environment. Team Player. Performance Goals Ability to support farming operations to meet daily deadlines. Ensure equipment is maintained to Food Safety and WHS Standards/requirements, in particular for vehicles that may travel over crops. Considerations The job is physical in nature and it requires standing for long periods of time, operating various types of equipment and tools, and possibly working outdoors on occasion. #J-18808-Ljbffr
