We meet at one site in the CBD of Coffs Harbour and have two morning services and one evening service each Sunday. We have around 500 people who regularly attend services at Harbourside, and we have a staff team of six, including three fulltime pastors and one ministry trainee. Overview of Position A fulltime position (5 days a week) exists for a mature, Christcentred individual, with a deep passion for kids and youth to know Jesus, to lead our Kids and Youth ministries at Harbourside. Responsibilities Take primary responsibility in the leadership of Sunday Kids Connect Ministry across our two morning services and the Friday night Ignition youth group. Disciple kids & young people in their faith so as to enable them to grow as followers of Jesus. Identify, train and mentor new and current kids and youth ministry leaders. Cooperate with other Presbytery churches as required in planning and running Presbytery Youth Camps. Participate in wider church leadership and pastoral team responsibilities. Qualifications A clear testimony of faith in Jesus Christ reflected in a committed Christcentred lifestyle. Experience in serving in and leading both kids and youth ministry. Ability to work effectively with a small staff team, have a Reformed/Evangelical outlook in your Christian faith and hold to a complementarian framework in your ministry practice. Theological training (or a willingness to undertake theological study). Current NSW Working with Children clearance (or a willingness and ability to obtain and maintain same). Willingness to complete training in and be compliant in the Breaking the Silence Policy and Code of Conduct of the Presbyterian Church of NSW. Current full drivers licence and access to a motor vehicle. Australian citizenship or permanent residency. Remuneration is based on the Schedule for Pastoral Assistance as a Pastoral Assistant (Supervised) of the Presbyterian Church of NSW depending on theological qualifications.
