The role: Join our dynamic team at Tassals Proserpine processing facility as a Forklift Operator. This is a handson, essential role where you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of our premium prawn products and supplies. Your expertise will ensure our cold storage and production lines run smoothly and efficiently. Season: Early November 2025 until midMay 2026 Responsibilities: Safely operate a forklift to load, unload, and transport pallets of prawns, bins, and packaging materials. Manage the movement of supplies between storage, production, and dispatch areas. Strictly adhere to all WHS and food safety & hygiene protocols. Work collaboratively with the processing team to meet daily production targets. Role requirements: Valid forklift licence (LF) is Essential. Proven experience operating a forklift in a warehouse, cold storage, or food processing environment (highly preferred). Reliability and a strong safetyfirst mindset. Ability to work early morning starts (potentially as early as 5:00 AM). Availability to work on a couple of Saturdays and Sundays in December to support production peaks. Own reliable transport to get to site. Role offerings: Hourly rate starting from $30.83 per hour (including 25% casual loading). Work with a supportive, passionate, and collaborative team.
