The Role As a cleaner, you will be responsible for internal cleaning duties such as maintaining carpets and hardfloor surfaces, toilets, furniture, fittings, windows, dusting, rubbish removal and other general cleaning tasks. External duties include cleaning verandas, covered areas, drinking troughs, windows, cobwebs and other general cleaning duties. During vacation periods you will also carry out stripping and sealing of vinyl floors, window cleaning, shampooing of carpets and pressure cleaning of verandas and undercover areas. You should have good attention to detail, be organised, honest, reliable, punctual and possess excellent knowledge of cleaning equipment and safe cleaning procedures, methods, and practices. You should be able to work well individually and as part of a team to ensure a clean and safe school environment. Qualifications & Eligibility Obtain a valid Working With Children Check. Consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Educations Screening Unit before you start.
