The Role Allied Health Assistant to support the physiotherapist and play a key role in delivering the Active Living Wellness programs. This is a Hybrid role with opportunities to visit our sites at Penrith, Plumpton and Merrylands, working closely with residents. Key Responsibilities Help implement tailored exercise and engagement activities that promote mobility, independence, and overall wellbeing Set up and supervise group sessions in the Wellness Centre, assist with individual exercise plans developed by the physiotherapist, and encourage ongoing participation Contribute to a welcoming, vibrant environment where residents feel empowered to take charge of their health and stay actively connected to their community Accurately document participation, session outcomes, and observations Deliver care aligned with aged care standards, SCC policies, and person-centred principles Requirements Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance, Certificate III/IV in Fitness, or relevant qualification Previous experience as a Physiotherapy Aide, Fitness Instructor, or similar Experience providing quality care to older adults Knowledge of health issues relevant to the elderly Understanding of Aged Care Quality Standards Aged Care related qualification or studies in Allied Health (desirable) Understanding of relevant legislation including the Fair Work Act (desirable) Whats in it for you?
