Your New Role The Food Services Officer oversees the delivery and service of food and catering across the school. This position is responsible for the making, serving and replenishing of food operations in the school community (including the Caf, Canteen and vending machines). The officer also prepares food for the Canteen and Caf, provides catering, supplies meals and snacks, prepares menus and processes payments using the pointofsale system. The Caf and Canteen are required to provide healthy food alternatives to ensure the community has a range of appropriate and economical options. What We Can Offer Permanent, PartTime Position Commencing Monday 27 January 2026 Work Schedule: 27.5 hours per week (MonFri 9:3015:30 with a 30minute unpaid break) Discounted Bupa health insurance Salary plus salary packaging through Maxxia Access to our Employee Assistance Program through THRIVE Psychology Salary: Level 3 $32.10 per hour averaged (termtime only) Selection Criteria Experience in managing the daytoday running of successful food services, including safe handling of food, appropriate preparation knowledge, restocking supplies, and balancing budgets. Experience in preparing menus, meals and snacks based on customer feedback and preferences, in accordance with food safety standards and quality controls. Experience in resolving customer complaints regarding food quality, customer service or other issues. Ability to aim for the targeted KPIs in regards to food services. Demonstrated experience in coffee making/barista skills or willingness to learn. A proven high level of professional collaboration and verbal communication skills. Excellent organisational and timemanagement skills, and experience to provide excellent food services in our community. Work collaboratively in a team environment in a professional and courteous manner. Accreditation for Support Staff in a Catholic School (CategoryA) or willingness to achieve. Essential Requirements Current NSW Working With Children Check Food handling Certificate Diploma or equivalent in Hospitality Management is highly desirable. Successful candidate must undergo a functional assessment and a National Criminal History Check.
