Assess and train canines for potential rehoming with RSPCA NSW. We are seeking a dedicated individual to assess and improve canine behaviour. This vital role will focus on evaluating animal temperament, developing and implementing enrichment programs, and modifying behaviour for rehoming potential. Responsibilities Include Observe and document canine behaviour in various environments Identify and address behavioural needs for rehoming Assist with intake and management plans for animal welfare Implement training and rehabilitation programs Support shelter staff with animal management Contribute to rescue requests and positive outcomes Undertake general administrative duties and attend training sessions Position Requirements Certificate II in Companion Animal Studies is desirable Enrolment or willingness to undertake Certificate IV in Behaviour Training Current Class C driver''s licence Minimum three months of experience in a similar environment Expertise in canine body language and handling diverse breeds Proficiency in fear-free and reward-based training techniques Strong communication and interpersonal skills National Police Check and Medical Declaration required Bring your passion for animal welfare and skills in behaviour training to RSPCA NSW, where we strive for the best outcomes for our animals and the community.
