We believe children belong with their families whenever it is safe and possible, and we work closely with the Department of Child Safety and the families to address the root causes of challenging behaviours and support positive change. About the Role As a Team Member, you will support Children and Young People living in Residential OutofHome Care at our therapeutic, rural properties using a technologyreduced care model. Your responsibilities include engaging with children who exhibit challenging behaviours, supporting their social, educational, cultural, and emotional goals, and overseeing their daily care. Our mission is to equip Children and Young People with new coping strategies and prosocial behaviours to help them transition to a forever home. Daily Tasks Providing handson support in teaching life skills such as cooking, cleaning, budgeting, completing homework, personal care, booking and attending appointments, participating in sports, and engaging in schooling. Developing support documentation, including Positive Behaviour Support Plans and progress reports. Assessing and supporting the developmental progress of our Young People. Liaising with and reporting to stakeholders to share information, contribute to planning, and ensure desired outcomes are achieved. Creating activity plans and facilitating community engagement for the Young Person. Safely supporting behaviours using Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) techniques. Qualifications & Experience Current Australian Driver''s Licence (must be Open or P2). Minimum Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention or equivalent (or actively working towards). Availability for shift work (24hour model), including weekdays, weekends, and sleepovers as scheduled. Approved Licensed Care Service (LCS) check through the department, or ability to obtain one. Current Paid Blue Card or willingness to obtain one. Current First Aid and CPR certificates, or willingness to obtain them. Previous experience working directly with children and families in a support role. Understanding of traumainformed practices. Prior Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) training. Completion of Hope & Healing modules. Flexible, adaptable, and eager to learn. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including documentation, organisation, and reporting. Proficient computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office Suite. Provide two recent professional references. Ability to prioritise tasks and work under pressure to meet specific timeframes and targets.
