Registrar Paediatric Advanced Trainee | Kalgoorlie, WA WA Country Health Service, Kalgoorlie Hospital is seeking Advanced Trainee Paediatric Registrars for Fixed Term full time and part time appointments for 6 and 12 months starting in February 2026, with possibility of extension(s). Kalgoorlie Regional Hospital in collaboration with the Rural Clinical School and WACHS (Goldfields), offers a comprehensive and hands-on Advanced Training position in Paediatrics. This is a unique opportunity to gain broad experience across acute, emergency, neonatal high-dependency, developmental, and outpatient paediatrics while contributing to teaching, research, and rural community health. Highlight: Accreditation with RACP for 6 months Developmental/Community training of position is for 12 months. 60% clinical work with opportunity to participate in remote area clinics. 40% Rural Clinical School for Teaching, Research, Academic and remote work Eligible for registration by the Medical Board of Australia. 2. Enrolled in Paediatrics Training Program, Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP) or equivalent programs and demonstrates satisfactory progression appropriate for an advanced trainee. Demonstrated current clinical experience in paediatrics and the management of acutely unwell children and neonates. Demonstrated organizational and time management skills, with highly developed communication, interpersonal, negotiation and conflict resolution skills. Commitment to undergraduate and postgraduate medical teaching of resident, nursing staff and medical students. Demonstrated commitment to clinical governance (Patient Safety and Quality), quality assurance, continuous improvement, and clinical research in the field of paediatrics and adolescent health Demonstrated understanding and knowledge of the Aboriginal Cultural Respect Framework. Current C Class drivers license and an ability and willingness to travel including overnight stays away from home. Experienced or interest in rural paediatric practice in rural setting.
