Nursery Apprentice (Three Year Duration) Job No: ESC1183 Location: Moruya Employment Status: Full-time, fixed term No. of Vacancies: 1 About the role This full-time, fixed-term apprenticeship is based at the beautiful Eurobodalla Regional Botanic Garden in Batemans Bay. Its a fantastic opportunity to kickstart your career in horticulture, gaining handson experience and formal qualifications in nursery operations and plant conservation. Youll undertake a Certificate III in Nursery Operations through a Registered Training Organisation, with training delivered via a mix of onthejob and offthejob learning and will involve travelling to Sydney to attend block release training. The starting salary for this position is $1,391.57 per fortnight plus 12% superannuation and is dependent on the age of the employee on commencement. About you You have a minimum year 10 level certificate or equivalent and a strong interest in plants and the environment, and ready to commit to a rewarding apprenticeship. You also possess: Ability to safely use and learn basic electrical and mechanical tools. Ability and willingness to work harmoniously in a team environment. Effective written and oral communication skills. Fitness and ability to complete physical labouring tasks. Commitment and ability to successfully complete the practical and theoretical components of the apprenticeship, and ability and willingness to undertake additional training as required.
