Northam SHS stands on the bank of the Avon River and has a proud and rich history of providing a comprehensive curriculum to students in Years 712 from the Northam and surrounding Wheatbelt districts. The Role The Student Support Officer works closely with school leadership staff to assist with systems and processes that support students, staff, and parents, ensuring a responsive and effective student support service. Suitable applicants will collaborate with staff, parents/guardians, and relevant community organisations, and may assist with school attendance strategies. Suitable applicants will assist with early intervention support to individuals and/or groups of students in social emotional learning, coregulation strategies, learning around behaviour, unconditional positive regard, restorative practice and strengthsbased reflection. They will also support the provision of information for multidisciplinary team meetings, case conferences and other relevant processes. They will maintain information and records, collate and prepare information required and assist with implementation strategies and student support programs.
