Task & responsibilities Operate mobile plant machinery (e.g. excavators, graders, watercarts, dump trucks, telehandlers, rollers, etc.) safely and efficiently. Assist with site setup, earthworks, trenching, backfill, site leveling, compaction, etc. Conduct routine inspections, maintenance, and minor servicing of plant equipment. Ensure safe operation and report faults or damages promptly. Work closely with site supervisors, formwork crews, concreters, and other trades to support project progress. Adhere to site safety processes, SWMS (Safe Work Method Statements), and company HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) policies. Maintain site housekeeping and ensure machinery is stored and secured when not in use. Assist in equipment mobilisation/demobilisation to/from site as needed. Qualification & experience CertII orIII in relevant field or proven experience of at least 1year operating heavy machinery, preferably as a mobile plant operator in civil/construction/earthworks projects. Current relevant plant tickets/ licences (e.g. HR truck licence, excavator ticket, compactor/roller licence, etc.). Strong safety mindset, with the ability to read and follow SWMS, JSA, and other safety documentation. Good mechanical aptitude and ability to diagnose minor plant faults. Ability to work effectively in a team, take direction, and communicate clearly. Physical fitness and ability to work outdoors in varied conditions. Demonstrated reliability and punctuality.
