We now have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Officer Mechanical to join APAs Operations & Maintenance team in Young, NSW on a permanent fulltime basis. Reporting to the Team Leader Central, you will play a key role in ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of APAs pipeline and plant systems across the Central region. If you have a general mechanical background and are eager to build your career in the energy sector, well provide the training and support you need to succeed. Key Responsibilities Carry out routine maintenance and repairs on pipelines, compressor stations, meter stations, and related mechanical equipment. Assist with diagnosing mechanical issues and supporting more complex repairs under guidance. Conduct site inspections and surveillance activities to ensure safe operations. Support the installation, commissioning, and testing of new equipment and modifications. Complete work records and reports to support compliance and maintenance programs. Participate in the oncall roster and respond to operational requirements as needed. Background & Qualifications Light Vehicle, Heavy Diesel, Fitter/Machinist or other relevant mechanical qualifications. Willingness to learn and practical, handson approach with problemsolving ability. Safetyconscious and committed to working within industry regulations and APA procedures. Organised and reliable, with the ability to follow procedures and complete work accurately.
