Menai Civil Contractorsare seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Civil Estimator to join our dynamic Campbelltown team on a full-time basis, responsible for preparing and submitting competitive tenders for a wide range of civil construction projects Youll play a key part in the full tender lifecycle from initial pricing and liaison with clients/subcontractors, through to handover to the project delivery team. Duties& responsibilities: Review tender documents, drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements Conduct detailed quantity take-offs for earthworks, drainage, utilities, structures, and roadworks Prepare accurate cost estimates for labour, materials, plant, and subcontractors Obtain, analyse, and negotiate subcontractor and supplier quotations Identify risks, constraints, and allowances for contingencies Assist in the preparation of tender submissions, including cost breakdowns and methodology inputs Provide value engineering options to improve cost efficiency Attend site inspections to assess conditions impacting costs Maintain cost databases, rates, and historical pricing records Handover successful tenders to project teams with detailed estimate documentation Minimum of 5 years experience in Civil Estimating Degree in Civil Engineering or relevant tertiary qualification Preferred background and knowledge of TfNSW, subdivisions, earthworks, complex infrastructure, and bridges Solid understanding of the first principles of estimating Keen attention to detail and excellent negotiation & interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and within a team to manage multiple priorities Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.) - AutoCAD experience preferred In return, we will offer you A large variety of projects that will offer you challenges and growth opportunities.
