Summary Manage the daytoday operation of the school tuckshop, including opening and setup, preparation of food and food orders, and stock management. Prepare menus that actively support health food programmes. Ensure food is prepared and stored in accordance with correct food handling and hygiene procedures and guidelines, and assist with managing goods and supplies, including stock rotation. Maintain adequate stock levels to meet daily and weekly menu requirements, including ordering, receiving, storing and inventory of stock. Coordinate daily cleaning and cleanup of kitchen and storage areas to ensure high standards of food hygiene. Select and use appropriate techniques and cleaning agents for cleaning facilities and cooking utensils. Assist with the monitoring and recording requirements of the Food Safety Programme (e.g., recording temperatures). Supervise, coordinate and support volunteers and staff in the tuckshop and storage areas. About You Demonstrated ability to create and implement menus that actively support health food programmes. Indepth knowledge of proper food preparation techniques, food storage and food safety. Proficiency in workplace health and safety practices. Extensive experience in stock management, including ordering, receiving, storing and performing stocktakes to ensure adequate supplies. Commitment to adhering to hygiene regulations, including maintaining cleanliness in food preparation and storage areas and conducting routine cleaning. Experience in supervising, coordinating and supporting volunteers and staff in a foodservice environment. Skilled in setting up and packing away for events, ensuring smooth operations.
