We are seeking a skilled Diesel Motor Mechanic (Heavy Commercial Vehicles) to join our growing team. The full-time position is based at our modern workshop in Finley and presents an excellent opportunity for a dedicated professional committed to excellence in vehicle maintenance and repair.The Diesel Motor Mechanic (Heavy Commercial Vehicles) is critical to ensuring the operational readiness and safety of our fleet, which includes prime movers, trailers, and bulk freight equipment. This role focuses on complex diagnostics, repair, and preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and adhere to all NHVR, CoR, and WHS regulations.BenefitsA permanent, full-time role in a reputable and stable company.A professional and supportive team environment, with opportunity for career growthA modern workshop with access to advanced tools and technology.ResponsibilitiesConduct scheduled preventive maintenance and logbook servicing for engines, transmissions, and braking systems in line with OEM guidelines for fleet assets.Utilize diagnostic tools to identify and repair faults in electrical, mechanical, and emission control systems.Rebuild major components such as engines, differentials, and suspension systems, and perform welding/fabrication on components (e.g., grain chutes, tarp systems) as required.Ensure full compliance with NHVR standards and document maintenance records for audits.Adhere to strict workshop safety protocols and manage work orders through fleet management software.Provide roadside assistance and support driver training on vehicle checks and defect reporting.Qualifications & ExperienceCertificate III/IV in heavy commercial vehicle mechanical technology or equivalentMinimum 3 years experience in heavy diesel mechanics (road transport)Experience with NHVR maintenance standards and bulk freight equipmentStrong customer service skills and proficiency in diagnostic softwareIf you are a qualified mechanic with a passion for the transport industry and a commitment to quality workmanship, we encourage you to apply.Application notes: This job posting includes an expiry date: 09-11-2025.
