This position will also provide administrative support to Strategic Planning to assist in administrative duties for efficiency. Key responsibility areas Provide administrative support to the Economic Development Lead including scheduling business visits and events and stakeholder engagement. Organise meeting venues, catering, agendas, minutes and other requirements for key industry and stakeholder meetings. Compile and distribute Business E-News and maintaining the business engagement register. Contribute to collaborative projects with other Council departments. Support the implementation of the Economic Development Strategy and Action Plan 2021-31 and other governing documents. Provide administrative support to Strategic Planning including internal and external communications, data entry and reporting. Prepare quality written correspondence including letters and emails to the community, agencies, businesses and key stakeholders. Monitor Strategic Planning and Economic Development emails. Deal with highly confidential and sensitive matters in a professional and discreet manner. Assist in maintaining Council website pages and portals. Perform, as directed, other duties that are within the limits of the incumbents skill, competence and training. Desired Skills and Experience Qualifications and experience Skills and knowledge needed for entry to this Band are beyond those normally acquired through secondary education alone. Skills and knowledge may be acquired through completion of a post-trade certificate or other post-secondary qualification below diploma or degree or knowledge and skills gained through on-the-job training commensurate with the requirements of the position. Selection criteria Proven ability to provide a high level of administrative assistance. Proven ability to work co-operatively and positively as a member of a team. Proven ability to manage highly confidential information. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Advanced knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Office suite, specifically in the creation of documents in Excel and Word.
