About the Opportunity Griffith Base Hospital, part of the Murrumbidgee Local Health District (MLHD), is seeking a dedicated and experienced Staff Specialist in General Medicine to join our dynamic team. This is a unique opportunity to provide highquality, patientcentred care in a supportive and collaborative environment. As a Staff Specialist, you will play a key role in delivering comprehensive, evidencebased medical services while contributing to the education and supervision of junior medical staff. You will be instrumental in shaping clinical practices, participating in quality improvement initiatives, and supporting the hospitals commitment to excellence in healthcare delivery. About You Specialist registration with the Medical Board of Australia in General Medicine (or eligibility via an overseas trained specialist pathway). Recent clinical experience in General Medicine, ideally within a comparable service setting. A strong commitment to collaborative, multidisciplinary care and the ability to lead and inspire a clinical team. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and proficiency in using clinical information systems. A dedication to teaching, research, and continuous improvement, with a focus on delivering safe, highquality care. Availability to participate in the oncall roster and respond onsite as required. Selection Criteria Holds registration with the Medical Board of Australia as a Specialist Physician General Medicine and/or overseas trained specialist pathways. Demonstrated recent clinical experience in General Medicine at the role delineation of the service. Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and provide leadership of a team. Demonstrated effective clinical communication through the use of information technology and written, verbal and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated commitment to teaching, continuing education, research and quality improvement. Availability to participate in an oncall roster and to respond on site within a reasonable time.
