Reporting to the Safety Manager, the Safety Advisor co-ordinates and assists in the implementation of the health and safety systems within the Projects such as identifying hazards and assessing risks to health and safety, recommending and implementing appropriate safety controls, and providing advice on incident prevention, incident management and occupational health to management and workers.ResponsibilitiesReport and investigate works health and safety hazards, incidents, and injuries, including support for case and care management.Identify, review, and analyse high-risk activities and implement mitigations.Actively coach and advise managers, workers, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure they are complying with legislative, client and the work health and safety and environmental requirements.Assist in the effective implementation of the Safety Management System.Assess high-risk activities in conjunction with the appropriate personnel and recommend the best approach to take.Have a consistent presence at pre-start meetings, including leading and developing material.Skills and Capabilities we are seekingCertificate IV in Occupational Health and Safety, or similar.Experience in a similar role, preferably in the same or similar industry.Demonstrated extensive experience in safety and compliance.Proven knowledge of a risk and incident system, including leading risk assessments.We are committed to fostering an inclusive environment where all voices are heard and valued.
