Research Fellow (National Perinatal Epidemiology and Statistics Unit)Join to apply for the Research Fellow (National Perinatal Epidemiology and Statistics Unit) role at UNSW.This job is based in Australia.Employment Type: Fulltime (35 hours a week)Duration: 2Year Fixed TermRemuneration: $127k$150k base (+17% super and leave loading)Work rights: Visa sponsorship not available; candidates must hold full rights to work in Australia.Location: Kensington, NSWAbout the UnitThe National Perinatal Epidemiology and Statistics Unit (NPESU) is a unit of the Centre for Big Data Research in Health (CBDRH), partnered with the School of Clinical Medicine (Womens Health) at UNSW.OpportunityThe Research Fellow will conduct independent and/or teambased epidemiological and statistical research using large health datasets.ResponsibilitiesCarry out research in epidemiology and statistics.Support projects within NPESU.QualificationsPhD in biostatistics, epidemiology or applied statistics, or equivalent postgraduate qualification with relevant research experience.Proven track record in epidemiological research with highimpact outcomes.Strong understanding of epidemiological study design and statistical analysis of population and linked health data.Experience managing and analysing large complex linked data.Experience in prediction modelling and/or causal inference methods is highly advantageous.Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and ethical data handling.Highlevel data analysis skills and proficiency with several statistical packages.Benefits and CultureCompetitive salary.Flexible working.Additional 3 days of leave over the Christmas period.Access to lifelong learning and career development.Progressive HR practices.How to ApplyPlease click on Apply now to apply online.
