The role Pricing Analyst will support the Pricing team and company on insurance pricing decisions through robust, accurate and timely data driven analysis. This highly technical role supports the end-to-end pricing of our insurance products, through data preparation, analysis, modelling, technical review and presenting insights to management. Position Accountabilities Understand sources of data, its limitations and common uses within the team. Manage and manipulate very large data sets. Conduct technical analysis as directed, including building predictive models. Draw insights and provide recommendations on next steps. Explain work and communicate findings to senior management. Perform regular reporting. Implement, test and monitor pricing changes. Perform other reasonable and relevant activities as requested to meet operational requirements. Adhere to all pricing policies and procedures. Test IT changes and effectively identify potential issues before go-live. Test and signoff address file updates by IT. Take all reasonable directions from leaders to comply with the organisations workplace health & safety (WHS) protocols. Qualifications and Experience Analytical mindset. Excellent attention to detail. Programming knowledge (e.g., SAS, R, SQL). Degree qualified in mathematics, actuarial studies or similar. Progressing through actuarial examinations is viewed favourably.
