Allied Health Professional - Lead Practitioner - Youth Forensic (CYMHS)$123,717 to $130,900 per annum+ 12% superannuationThe Department of Health is seeking suitably qualified applicants for two Allied Health Lead Practitioners for CYMHS Youth Forensic Mental Health, one in the North and one in the North West of Tasmania. These positions are also being advertised as Clinical Nurse Consultant and only two positions will be filled on merit.Join our team and apply your skills, passion, and knowledge in making a positive difference in the lives of children and young people in the North or Northwest of Tasmania.We are seeking senior allied health professionals with experience in clinical leadership, complex case management, assessment, trauma informed therapy, and within mental health or a relevant/related sector would be ideal. You would be working within a well-supported, innovative, diverse multidisciplinary team to provide developmentally appropriate treatment with children and young people.Our Aim:The Child and Youth Mental Health Service in Tasmania is growing. We are seeking passionate and dedicated Lead Practitioners to provide clinical services with children and young people experiencing mental health concerns who are in out of home care. The positions available are within our new teams which are currently being developed as initiatives under the CYMHS reform program (Youth, Youth Forensic, Out of Home Care).The Lead Practitioner will be part of the Youth Forensic Mental Health team and will have a passion for providing a person-centred approach, trauma informed therapy, and working within a multidisciplinary team environment, providing high level clinical leadership to the team.Leadership training is available and provided by the Tasmanian Health Service in partnership with University of Tasmania.The role will include:Being part of a dynamic and well supported team committed to delivering high quality trauma informed mental health services to children and young people.Undertaking clinical services through the provision of complex case management, assessment, and individual therapies, including the development and implementation of specialised treatment programs.Working alongside innovative team leaders and consultant psychiatrists to develop new child and youth mental health services in Tasmania.Leading and working with an amazing and diverse group of clinicians as part of the collaborative multidisciplinary team, including the provision of support and consultation to other team members as required.Note: Please refer to the Statement of Duties for all the selection criteria of this position to address in your application.Two positions are available, one in the North and one in the Northwest.NorthBased in Launceston CBD.The North of the state is an area of natural beauty with access to Cataract Gorge, waterfalls, bush walks, beaches, and mountain biking.Launceston is a great place to raise children with access to some of Tasmanias prestigious schools.It is a beautiful part of Kanamaluka/Lutruwita.North WestOffice is based in Burnie and Devonport.The Northwest Coast has access to beaches, bushwalks and various recreational activities across the region.An attractive relocation package and support for international visa requirements may be available for successful applicants.The Department of Health Tasmania oversees various hospitals across the state, and provides community health, mental health, and primary healthcare services through more than 300 sites.Tasmania offers a unique lifestyle.
