In December 2024, we began providing health, mental health, and wellbeing services across the onshore Immigration Detention network. Our team of nurses, general practitioners, and allied health professionals offer a range of healthcare services, including health assessments, chronic disease management, health promotion, wound management, immunizations, and other primary health interventions. HCA also launched a 24/7 Virtual Care Centre (VCC), offering remote healthcare through telehealth and video consultations to enhance onsite care for detainees. Job Description We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Counselor Worker to join our team. You will provide high-quality, client-centered counselling, conduct psychosocial and risk assessments, deliver targeted interventions, coordinate care, and connect clients with community resources to support their overall well-being. Located In Northam Day to day! Provide individual and group counselling treatments addressing a wide range of psychosocial issues. Conduct comprehensive psychosocial and risk assessments to inform treatment planning. Develop and implement personalized care and intervention plans, including crisis support. Coordinate with external health providers. Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with legal and ethical standards. Participate in ongoing professional development and clinical supervision. Lets talk about you! Bachelors or Masters degree in Counselling or a related field. Current registration with ACA, PACFA, or equivalent professional body. Minimum of 3 years post-qualification counselling experience. Proficiency in therapeutic modalities for mental health, trauma, addictions, and family dynamics. Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills. Empathetic, culturally sensitive, and able to build rapport with diverse clients. Excellent time management and organizational abilities.
