Were looking for a hands-on and proactive manager to support workshop operations across the region. You have the chance to make a key difference in the community by ensuring safe and reliable transport services every day. What Youll Be Doing Investigate and discuss accidents with Operations Manager Ensure all workshop safety complies with WH&S standards Equipment maintenance serviced on a regular basis; ensure workshops are clean and tidy Assist Workshop Supervisors to follow Busways systems and procedures Assess workshop staff for additional mechanics, apprentices, and cleaners Arrange apprentice training Check fuel and oil consumption reports; identify buses that need attention Conduct monthly checks on buses and report faults to the Supervisor Visit depots within your area weekly and report findings to the Regional Manager Assist workshop staff in fault diagnosis; ensure depot maintenance is carried out effectively Oversee all Workshop Supervisors and ensure achievement of contractual and internal KPIs Act as escalation point for Workshop Supervisors within the Region and provide support and guidance as needed Perform ad-hoc tasks and other duties as required What Youll Bring Trade qualification, extensive relevant professional experience, or an equivalent combination of experience and/or education Strong communication skills and ability to engage with employees at all levels Knowledge of complaint handling, employee relations, WH&S, policies and procedures, inclusion and diversity Problem-solving skills with the ability to deliver high-quality outcomes and meet deadlines Leadership capability with experience coaching others Excellent communication skills and ability to build and maintain relationships Strong attention to detail, organisational and time-management skills Must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or have working rights in Australia Current Australian drivers licence issued by the relevant State What We Offer You At Busways, we dont just transport people we care about every part of the journey.
